In the 1980s, Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns gave us a utopian vision of Batman’s return to fighting crime, a work that contrasts with the 1960s series, starring Adam West, the reference that in 1986 had several generations on the Dark Knight.

In SMASH we recently presented you how a fragment of The Dark Knight Returns sounds with the voice of Adam West, but can you imagine what the actor would look like in one of the emblematic illustrations of Frank Miller’s graphic novel?
This was made a reality in blogs by the artist Sebastian Ciaffaglione, who on his website shared the version of page 34 of the first book of The Dark Knight Returns, where Batman has the appearance of Adam West.
This vignette pays homage to the illustration where Bruce Wayne reappears as Batman, after a long absence, with the aim of ending the crime that has subjugated Gotham City, a city that has lost all hope of progress.
After the end of the Batman series, Adam West lent his voice to different animated projects playing Batman, highlighting the animated series SuperFriends and the animated films Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader and Batman vs Two-Face, both inspired by the series. from the 60’s.
West also collaborated on Batman: The Animated Series by voicing The Gray Ghost, Bruce Wayne’s childhood idol.
