Cooking oil is one of the products basic to be able to cook our food, many people use it in their day to day, that is why in 2019 the Federal Consumer Protection Office (Profeco) took on the task of analyzing 32 products of this nature, however, some turned out to be adulterated. It must be remembered that the study was carried out in 2019, but it went viral again on social networks, since it shows which brands do not provide oil pure, apart from listing commonly used vegetable oils not approved by Profeco.
What are the adulterated cooking oils, according to Profeco?
The research published three years ago by Profeco evaluated 32 products of edible oil. In said products examined, they found 9 avocado, 14 sesame, 2 peanut and 7 grape.
Likewise, after analyzing the 32 products of gourmet Vegetable Oil, The agency detected 6 brands that sell adulterated products:

- avocare100% natural origin avocado oil, 250 ml presentation.
- cat from my heartAvocado oil, presentation of 250 ml and 500 ml.
- Saint lucasGourmet extra virgin avocado oil, presentation 500 ml.
- KaporoBlend sesame oil, presentation of 190 ml.
- Foreway Sesame ExpertSesame oil, presentation of 185 ml.
- kum chum248 ml cold pressed sesame oil.
According to prophetthese products are considered “adulterated” because they are not pure and contain other kinds of oils.
Oils that fail to comply with their labeling declarations
Regarding the net content, 2 products were found that did not comply with their declarations, they are these:
- Satoru, 275 ml sesame oil.
- The green kitchen, organic sesame oil 520 ml.
Products that do not comply and lie about their content
For their part, the adulterated cooking oils declared by Profeco, as they contain less product than they claim or lie about their ingredients, are the following brands:
- D’Artana
- Navarre
- Mazola
- Olivos Mendoza
- delay
Finally, Profeco advised consumers to use vegetable oils from sunflower, olive, corn, canola, soy, peanut and sesame in their food. This is because they contain good fats for the body and are less saturated, because there are other types of fats, such as saturated fats, that raise cholesterol and increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.
