Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is coming to Netflix in some countries, although for the moment its premiere has been limited to a few. The film, based on Capcom’s famous survival horror saga, hit theaters in November of last year, promising to be more faithful than the movie adaptations starring Milla Jovovich. On this occasion, the film directed by Johannes Roberts (47 meters away) combined the events that occurred in Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 2 and brought back the original protagonists of the saga. However, the film was not well received by fans, failing at the box office.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is coming to Netflix in select countries:
As we can read on Twitter, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City has arrived at Netflix in certain areas such as India, Bangladesh or Pakistan, reaching the Top 10 most watched products on Netflix India. Although, for the moment, no new details have been given about whether the film will be released in the European or Latin American markets, it is more than likely that it will end up doing so.
Perhaps Netflix wants to wait a few more months to make it arrive together with its adaptation of Resident Evil in the form of a series or that, even, the launch will take place once Resident Evil 4 Remake has been announced, whose presentation points to the month of May. It is usual for Capcom to accompany the arrival of new titles with more products from the saga, as was the case with Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. So maybe I’ll give the surprise soon.
