One of the biggest partnerships Sony established last year was that Discord would be progressively integrated into PlayStation systems. Now comes the turn to Xbox with the messaging platformas Microsoft has just announced.
Voice chat will become available on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles, allowing you to chat with anyone or have group calls directly. The first who will be able to get their hands on this feature are some of the users enrolled in the Xbox Insider program and starting today.
For the rest of the mortals, it will be time to wait a little longer, since Microsoft has not revealed when the support will be possible for everyone. However, if you are one of the lucky ones, you will be able to play any title while talking to your friends, being able to adjust the sound and easily switch between the Discord chat or the Xbox game chat.
If we want this possibility to be real, we will have to link the Discord account with the Xbox one thanks to a QR code. If we follow all the steps, we can enter any channel to talk without problems. Availability for Xbox Insider members is expected to expand in the coming weeks. Almost two years ago Microsoft tried to buy the platform, but finally the negotiations ended.
