Following a disastrous launch, EA and DICE have repeatedly failed to communicate on how they intended to address the issues that were present in Battlefield 2042, and after months of delays, it has finally been announced that Battlefield 2042 Season 1 is coming in early June.
After the release of the May update, and before Season 1 of the title begins, DICE has released a new developer diary, detailing some of the changes planned for the title. These include a major overhaul of the Kaleidoscope map, UI tweaks, performance improvements, and changes to the modes on offer.

As if that were not enough, it has also been confirmed that changes in the battlefield 2042 season 1 Add to that those already produced, such as with Breakthrough, which has already been reduced to 64 players (from 128), and further development of the Tarkov-style Hazard Zone mode is wrapping up (although it will still be available to play). On the positive side, the popular Rush mode will return during Season 1.

Also, as for what we can expect from this season 1 of Battlefield 2042, DICE has shared a new image showing us the future roadmap of the title, in which they promise a new map, specialist, weapons, vehicles and a battle passas well as the aforementioned Kaleidoscope update, mode changes, and more.
Season 1 will launch next month and will usher in a year of new content coming to the game. Four seasons, four new specialists, new maps, and new weapons and gadgets that help expand the sandbox. We’re bringing a Battle Pass to Battlefield for the first time that will give players the opportunity to earn new in-game items, all of which are in our free tiers, and new cosmetic items in both the free and premium tiers.
