In great news for the entire Call of Duty: Warzone gaming community, Season 3 saw some of the biggest changes to Warzone to date. Weapon balance adjustments were made aplenty, new POIs and weapons arrived, and the gas mask animation was finally fixed.
Something we find quite curious is that while the Season 3 patch notes were extensive, detailing all of these changes and more, there is a potential nerf that some players believe has been kept under wraps.
With the debate over aim assist continuing after all these years, some think Warzone developers Raven Software nerfed it for Season 3 without telling anyone. One of the first to point out that something may have changed was the god of movement himself, JoeWo, who asked, “Am I completely faded or did Aim Assist nerf?”
However, that was not all, as several other players began to suggest that the same thing could have happened. UK Warzone streamer WarsZ said the aim assist “felt weird”. Meanwhile, New York Subliners streamer Swishem said that “aim assist is missing in this update.”
In March 2022, Call of Duty: Vanguard developers Sledgehammer Games collaborated with Raven, stating that there were aim assist issues in both CoD titles. While Vanguard’s aim assist was fixed at the time of the announcement, Raven emphasized that a fix would be coming to Warzone “in the coming weeks.”
