SEGA and developer Creative Assembly have decided delay Total War: Warhammer III until early 2022 after having planned to release the title later this year on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Luckily, the wait won’t be much longer, and in the meantime, a lot of in-game information has been promised, which in turn will ensure a more robust release and ‘the best first step into a new era of Total War: Warhammer«.
In fact, Creative Assembly does not consider this release as the end of the trilogy, but the beginning of years of content and support as you continue to carry «the staggering scale of the fantasy universe from Games Workshop to Total War«.
Total War: WARHAMMER III will now release in early 2022.
We know this is disappointing, but the extra time means we can accomplish more than we could if we rushed to release this year.
We won’t be staying quiet however, join us tomorrow for the global reveal of Grand Cathay… pic.twitter.com/R4GdObAs9P

SEGA announced Total War: Warhammer III last February as a new installment that will plunge players fully into a cataclysmic conflict between the ruinous demonic powers and the sentinels of the mortal world. Demons will fill the grounds of the mysterious Eastern Lands, as well as the Realm of Chaos, where players will have to use more strategy than ever before in this trilogy.
Among the novelties of Total War: Warhammer III stand out new and iconic breeds, marking the debut of Kislev and Cathay along with the Chaos factions (Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh, and Tzeentch). Players will wage wars with the greatest variety of legendary heroes, colossal monsters, flying creatures, and magical powers.
