Among Mexicans, San Judas Tadeo is one of the most popular saints and is nicknamed the “saint of lost causes”, since he is often confused with Judas Iscariot, the apostle who betrayed Jesus.
Although its final destination is still unknown, since it is a private commission to Fidel Chaidez, devotees already come to offer flowers and candles to the image, which is visible 1 kilometer away or from the heights. It is also unknown how the statue will be moved from Chaidez’s workshop south of Culiacán.
