343 Industries has continued to work on improvements to Halo Infinite, as Season 2: Lone Wolves continues to maintain a dedicated community with a new Battle Pass and more. A fan of multiplayer halo-infinite recently captured the precise moment a rat accidentally dies while approaching a downed player.
Reddit user Jus512 has shared the event that occurred in one of his multiplayer matches on the Streets map that he considers one of the saddest moments in Halo Infinite so far. The Streets map is part of the playlist of halo-infinite Arena, and it has a small layout with little nooks and crannies that Spartans can hide in to avoid enemy fire.
As Jus512’s game in Streets progresses, he is killed and a grenade is thrown near his corpse, which bounces off and ends up killing the aforementioned rat. Many fans of halo-infinite are mourning the loss of the rat in Jus512’s video, which some have dubbed the rat from Halo 3 due to its low resolution appearance compared to the rest of the environment.
Jus512’s video begins with the player losing a firefight with a melee attack combined with some pistol shots while trying to defend Streets’ central capture zone. A grenade is thrown through the window onto Jus512’s body, and as his Spartan lies there awaiting respawn elsewhere on the map. halo-infinitea sad piano music enters the scene as the little rat approaches the body to ask if it is okay, but death catches up with it.
While many of the responses to the Halo Infinite video express either excitement or sadness, some fans are simply shocked at the outcome of the otherwise ineffective grenade throw. Although a handful of Halo fans took the opportunity to bring up other sad moments in the franchise, others remain confident that Jus512’s clip is the most emotional.
