The legendary North American studio Vicarious Visions has officially passed to a better life. This has been communicated by the company’s own Twitter account, which has confirmed that Vicarious Visions is now Blizzard Albany. In this way, the merger with Blizzard that has been talked about in recent times has been completed, which will relegate those responsible for various Spyro, Crash Bandicoot or Tony Hawk games to work on projects that the parent company, Blizzard, have in hand. Although for now it has not been specified which ones they will work on specifically.

We invite you to follow us at Blizzard Entertainment”, said the Vicarious Visions account, making it clear that Vicarious will no longer exist independently as such, but will become part of the extensive Blizzard team and work on games like world of warcraft devil or the new survival titlestill unnamed, announced by the US company a few months ago.
The lesser-known Activision Blizzard studios that Xbox has bought and what they could bring
It is strange that Activision Blizzard has made such a drastic and important decision for the future when the purchase by Microsoft has not yet been closed, so we are waiting to know reactions from the Redmond company, because it seems difficult to think that something like this is reversible. What is clear is that Vicarious Visions, those responsible for having brought Crash Bandicoot back to life among many other things, it has ceased to exist as such.
