VeritaTrust (an initiative designed to put consumer reviews on-chain to help e-commerce solutions build a user-generated content strategy), has received a grant from Human. This was reported from the official Human Protocol blog.
“This reward for reviews is a reward for user contribution; and it is a clear demonstration of the technological application of HUMAN, and of its vision, of tokenizing and rewarding the contribution”, they detailed in the post of the aforementioned blog.
They explained that the grant would help the VeritaTrust team to integrate the HUMAN Protocol oracle system for verification work.
“HUMAN’s technology creates new business opportunities. Of course, it facilitates and redesigns existing work solutions, such as data labeling, but it facilitates new job markets and new businesses that were previously impossible. Traditional systems could never effectively track, verify, and reward this type of review-based contribution,” they stated.
How does it work?
The Human Protocol blog stated: “VeritaTrust will ask a customer to review a product or merchant after they have purchased; once the review is submitted, the data will be automatically verified by a Human Protocol Reputation Oracle, which will attribute a reputation score to the reviewer accordingly. The Reputation Oracle will then initiate the payment of HMT (the Human token) to the reviewer. All this information will be verified and verifiable in the chain”.
“Since 90% of customers check reviews before buying products or services online, trusting those reviews is essential. It is also clear that not all reviews are the same; a review by a reputable and trusted reviewer is more valuable than a review that is not verified on the blockchain,” they added.
About VeritaTrust
VeritaTrust offers companies a plug & play SaaS solution to build a customer review strategy. The project was founded by Brahim Ben Helal, who was Director of Strategic Development at Trustpilot. From early stage to IPO, he helped the company grow and saw the potential of blockchain in the customer feedback and review process.
So VeritaTrust was their vision to create a decentralized customer review and feedback service. “At VeritaTrust, customers own their reviews and are rewarded for them with tokens,” he stated.
