Since April 12, the delivery and taxi service application Yummy has enabled the option of using Binance Pay as a form of payment for users in Venezuela on its platform.
In a message posted on Twitter, the LegalRocks CEO broke the news, announcing to his followers cryptocurrency exchange integration Binance in the Yummy Rides taxi service.
The fact was later confirmed in the official Yummy account and in that of the company’s CEO, Vicente Zavarce, who he pointed that the service it will be based only on the use of stablecoins or the so-called stable currencies, with tether (USDT) being one of the most traded in Venezuela.
Before the integration, users could only pay for Yummy taxi services through Mobile Payment, Yappe, Zelle, cards and PayPal. The adoption in this new payment method with Binance Pay has to do with the growing demand from Venezuelan userswho asked the company to add more methods that would allow them to use cryptocurrencies more.
To activate the new payment method, users only have to update the Yummis app, where Binance Pay is already integrated. With this platform created by the well-known exchange, cryptocurrencies and stablecoins can be sent and received without commissions. It operates through the scanning of QR codes of payment recipients in the application.
Users applaud the integration and hope it will be extended to other services
Upon learning about the integration of cryptocurrency payments, most users expressed their satisfaction, although many they insistently asked if the new payment option would also be available for delivery service (Home delivery).
Regarding this, Zavarce clarified that for now they would only apply payments with Binance Pay to the transport service. He did not indicate if there is a possibility that it will be extended to delivery later.
Yummy Rides is a taxi service available in Venezuela from July 2021which has been developed by the delivery app or delivery services Yummy.
