Activision has fulfilled its promise and a few moments ago all those Call of Duty Warzone players have been able to see a preview of Call of Duty: Vanguard, the next installment of the saga, with its first official trailer, which has allowed us to know more details about this new Call of duty which will be developed by Sledgehammer Games.
As it was already seen coming, the franchise will once again bet on an action set in the Second World War, as it happened a few years ago with Call of Duty WWII, although this time there will be a few new storylines in the campaign.
This will present us with a fictional story starring a group of soldiers that goes by the name of Special Forces. All of them will enter Germany during the end of the war with the aim of putting an end to the so-called Phoenix Project, a movement that is doing everything possible to keep the Nazi army standing.
Some of the missions will take place in some of the major battles that were actually fought with characters that will be inspired by real soldiers. During the chapters, scenes from the past will emerge that will tell us more details about the different protagonists, leading us to fight in North Africa, the Eastern and Western Fronts and in the Pacific.
All this while we are witnessing most impressive cinematics and with a gameplay that will not give us a break, as you can see in the trailer that we mentioned earlier. In addition, it will use the same graphics engine that Infinity Ward used for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
All the news of multiplayer
As much as the campaign is going to be the most special, there is no doubt that multiplayer will be the place where most players will mainly meet. Aware of this, Sledgehammer Games has prepared a good load of news varied enough to ensure entertainment for months.
For starters, launch will include a total of 20 different maps, of which 16 of them will be for groups of 6vs6 and the remaining four will be for groups of 2vs2. All of them will be set in the four key scenarios of the campaign that we have mentioned previously, with weapons galore that can be fully customized.
Something that will stand out in all of them is the fact that they will be reduced and interactive maps, especially due to the fact that its creators want to offer us a more tactical gameplay. In this sense, environments can be destroyed to open new paths or holes in the walls or wooden planks from which we can aim and shoot without being seen by rivals.
Along with all this there will be a new mode called Champion Hill, which will be a kind of Battle Royale for smaller groups, and there will also be the corresponding free updates and battle passes that will be published over time to further expand the multiplayer content.
Something that will not be lacking will be zombies mode by Treyarch and at the same time it will be a prequel in the same way to Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. As to Warzone, will be updated with a new map set in World War II that Raven Studios will develop and that will include an anti-cheat system in order to prevent users from continuing to spoil the environment.
Of course Call of Duty: Vanguard wants to throw the house out the window and that is something that Activision and Sledgehammer Games will make clear over the next few weeks as they provide more information about the game. Its launch will occur on November 5th on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC via Battle.net.
