Aston Martin Racing’s return to the premier class of the Endurance Cup of the GTWC Europe with the Beechdean AMR team has several proper names, but without a doubt there is a pilot who faces this project with a special illusion. This is Vincent Haase-Clot, since the Frenchman has become the new official driver of Aston Martin Racing (AMR). Although the Frenchman was already an integral part of the British firm’s GT program, he can now say that he is a full-fledged Aston Martin factory driver.
Haase-Clot has been part of the Aston Martin Racing Academy for the last two seasons. And the truth is that he has been a very applied ‘student’. In fact, in its first year under the umbrella of the British firm won the GT4 European Series title alongside Theo Nouet at the controls of an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of the AGS Events team. A success that led the brand to give you the opportunity at the GTWC Europe as part of the Garage 59 project in the Endurance Cup.
In parallel, Haase-Clot achieved the silver title of the FFSA French GT with Romain Lerouxa success that has finally convinced Aston Martin to offer Valentin a contract as an official driver. Haase-Clot will be part of the Beechdean AMR #97 Aston Martin line-up in the Endurance Cupa vehicle entered in the new Gold Cup. The Parisian driver will compete alongside Theo Nouet, a driver with whom he won the Silver title of the French GT Championship, and Andrew Howard, manager of the Beechdean AMR team.
Like is logic, Valentin Haase Clot He has been enthusiastic about his new status as an official AMR pilot: «Becoming an official Aston Martin driver is a life-changing opportunity. The career of a young driver is made of many sacrifices and in most cases the moments of pure joy are very few. The road has not been easy and until I found my place with Aston Martin I had the feeling that I was not going to make it. It has been three truly magical years with the brand».
Along these lines, the French rider added: «Since 2019 I have had the opportunity to grow and evolve as a rider in different championships, with different teams and partners. I have had the opportunity to learn alongside amazing people and win my first titles. I can only thank Aston Martin for trusting me through its Academy since 2020 and to become a Junior pilot in 2021. Now I am an official factory driver and I want to win new titlesstarting this year with Beechdean AMR at GTWC Europe.”
