If today is Wednesday, this is a new review of the data of the Spanish box office! Figures that, to be honest, except for an unexpected surprise, leave us halfway between indifference to immobility and disappointment in the face of a new fall —this time 14% compared to the previous weekend— that they have not been able to correct, not even the news of last weekend.
Life goes on
One more week —and now there are three—, ‘Uncharted’ managed to take first place in the box office with €1.43 million, being the only title on the bill that has exceeded the million mark. Behind him, repeating the scheme from seven days ago, ‘Death on the Nile’ takes the silver medal with 0.65 million euros in its second week in theaters.
We find the surprise in third place in the Top 5, in which the premiere of ‘Ainbo, the warrior of the Amazon’. This Peruvian animated feature film, distributed by Flins y Piniculas, has debuted with 0.33 million of euros; taking a pinch to ‘Sing 2!’, which refuses to leave the top of the table after ten weeks with other 0.26 million in the pocket.
For its part, ‘Official Competition’ has had a particularly disappointing premiere; and it is that the claim of having Antonio Banderas and Penélope Cruz in its distribution has only served to harvest some discreet €0.23 million. Luckily, everything points to the fact that next week, the premiere of ‘The Batman’ is going to turn the box office upside down, and that is that gossips suggest that its initial collection could pulverize even the most optimistic predictions.
