It is seen that bad news never comes alone, at least on the part of Ubisoft. In the last few hours, the delay of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, one of his most anticipated video games, has been made official, but at the same investor meeting he took the opportunity to communicate his decision to cancel a few projects.
Specifically, there have been four games that he has decided to throw overboard, Ghost Recon Frontline being one of the most prominent. It is seen that the idea of turning the saga into a Battle Royale with games for 100 players has not finished curdling enough, since the only thing we have seen of it was its presentation trailer in October of last year.
Another one that has gotten rid of has been from Splinter Cell VR. At no time has it been officially announced, but it was Yves Guillemot himself, president of the company, who dropped in 2019 that the saga Splinter Cell it was going to have new experiences on different devices, so it’s likely that at the time it was referring to virtual reality.
The remaining two titles are unnamed or at least it has not been indicated, so it would not be surprising that they were projects whose development had not even begun or ideas that were not attractive enough. In any case, on September 10 we will have an appointment with the next Ubisoft Forward to learn about the next Ubisoft news.
