Assassin’s Creed Rift would arrive next year before the saga becomes a game as a service.
After confirming that Ubisoft is working on several Assassin’s Creed projects, it seems that not everything is good news. The company, which delayed the release of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and various projects, would have made the same decision with Assassin’s Creed: Rift, the minor project of the saga of assassins. At least, this is what Jason Schreier has shared, a well-known journalist who usually reveals this type of information in Bloomberg.
As filtered, Ubisoft has delayed the next Assassin’s Creed title from February to spring 2023 for the title to become part of the company’s next fiscal year. Rift, set in the Middle East, was originally planned as an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but its sheer size allowed it to be transformed into a standalone game to fill the gap in Ubisoft’s release schedule.
It should be remembered that if the leaks are true, Ubisoft is considering this Assassin’s Creed Rift as a title “unannounced smaller premium“. It should be remembered that the Assassin’s Creed event in September is intended to present the future of the saga, which would include various games, including Assassin’s Creed Infinityan ever-expanding game as a service.
Little more than a month to know what the future of the assassins will be like
Luckily, all the rumors that have been talked about these months will be confirmed or denied this very month of September. Assassin’s Creed Red, Rift, Infinity… There are many proposals that have sounded strong, without forgetting Nexus, for lovers of virtual reality. Stealth, action and a variety of locations for lovers of what has become Ubisoft’s quintessential saga.
