This is not good news considering the current domino effect.
Ubisoft has given a lot to talk about these days, because if the Ubisoft Foward was not enough, which, in essence, has been the equivalent of his non-E3 conference this yearwe must add the fact of the large number of announcements that have been made in relation to Assassin’s Creed, being so that it has even been necessary to clarify how Assassin’s Creed Infinity works in the same way that, despite multiple rumors, they have denied the development from a remake of the first game.
However, leaving aside everything related to the games, which have been received very positively by users, it must be said that bad news is coming for the pockets of the players, since, following the disastrous example of other companies, from Ubisoft they have announced the rise in prices of their games.
Ubisoft will put its games at 80 euros just like Sony
To put it in context, it must be said that in this generation it has been possible to see that companies such as Sony, EA, Activision, among others, have decided that games should go up in price, being so that it is being seen how great releases reach the market for 80 euros (and with the corresponding rise in the different territories according to the currency). In this way, one of the greatest fears was to see a domino effect that would gradually normalize this situation.
Under this same premise, it has been confirmed by the CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, that the games will cost 80 euros (which is equivalent to 70 US dollars). In this way, the first title to arrive with this price format would be Skull and Bones for PS5 and Xbox Series, being the most ironic of all that Ubisoft had denied that it would do this in the near future.. As they say, the fish dies through the mouth.
Now, Ubisoft has stated that this is something that will only affect triple AAA games, waiting to see what will happen with the titles that do not reach this category. To give an example of this, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will arrive at a reduced price in stores. Let’s hope they don’t change their minds anytime soon.
