In great news for the entire Tom Clancy’s gaming community, Ubisoft recently announced that the limited-time event, MUTE Protocol: Flesh and Metal, will be available tomorrow in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege.
Something that we find quite curious is that, for three weeks until August 23, this supercharged MUTE Protocol event includes new cosmetics and a new game mode: Arms Race. In this new game mode, the MUTE Tower has been taken over by Brain.

If players eliminate an opposing player, they are upgraded to a new level of weapons. Eliminated players quickly respawn, move back one weapon level, and return to the battlefield. The main goal is to reach the highest weapon level: The Golden Hammer.
Using this Golden Hammer, players win a round by breaking Cerebro’s shields on the map, as it is the only weapon that can properly close shields and win a round. Additionally, there are power-ups scattered throughout the map and all players are equipped with a Power Dash that can go through walls.
The event brings with it the MUTE Protocol collection, with the new Organics skins. The Collection features uniforms, helmets, weapon skins, and operator card portraits. Additionally, the event also features the Merging Process Bundle, which contains a signature weapon skin, universal accessory skin, charm, and operator card background.
Packs from the first MUTE Protocol event in 2020 are also available for players to purchase before it leaves the store again. In addition, players who purchased one or more MUTE Protocol 2020 event packages receive a free corresponding operator card for each package.
Flesh and Metal Packs can be obtained by completing special event challenges, or purchased for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown each. Individual packs can also be purchased directly for 1,680 R6 Credits each.
