During the latest Ubisoft Forward, in addition to learning about the final chapter of Valhalla, we also learned about the new games in the franchise: Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Red and Assassin’ Creed Hexe. Mirage will be the classic style delivery, starring Basim and set in Baghdad, Red will take us to Feudal Japan and Hexe could be related to the witch trials. But these will not be the only deliveries, since Ubisoft has confirmed the new Assassin’s Creed Invictus, a multiplayer game.
At the beginning of last September, Marc-Alexis Côté dropped that Invictus would be a new multiplayer installment, which could become free to play, some statements that surprised many fans, since Invictus could have been announced during the event and not revealed through an interview. But after the latest statements, now Ubisoft has officially announced the new Assassin’s Creed Invictus through its recent earnings report.
Ubisoft announces the new Assassin’s Creed Invictus, a multiplayer game
A team, including For Honor veterans, are currently working to bring multiplayer back to Assassin’s Creed with a standalone experience through Infinity under the codename Project Invictus.
This standalone multiplayer title will be part of the Assassin’s Creed Infinity Hub, which will be a gateway to all Assassin’s Creed experiences where the meta-story will live asynchronously, starting with Red, Hexe and Invictus.
