The information has been leaked by two insiders, although each one points to a different thing.
Talking about Super Mario always generates good feelings, and more so when we have to talk about the possibility of new games being announced starring the video game industry’s favorite plumber. That’s how it is, today it’s time to talk about new rumors that, during this 2022, two new Mario titles would be announced for the Nintendo Switch family of consoles (Nintendo Switch, Lite and OLED).
Getting into the matter now, and as reported comic book, one of the possible Mario games to be announced, according to an insider named Zippo (which is usually right with this type of information), would be sports. Said title would be being developed by bandai namco, but little else is known, since not even the leaker himself can say what sport the project would be developed on. Who knows… it could be the rumored Mario Kart 9 or, why not dream, a new Super Mario Strikers.
On the other hand, another insider, called Leaky Pandy, also says that this year a Super Mario game would be presented, but it does not ensure that this project is sports. So we are left with two possibilities, in the event that all this has a little truth: The first is that Zippo’s leak is not entirely accurate, so you could be right that a Mario game would be announced, but it wouldn’t be sports, as Leaky Pandy seems to drop. The other option (or as I prefer to call it, the good option) would be that this same year 2022 two new projects starring Mario were announced, one of sports and the other could be the successor of super mario odyssey.
This year two new Mario games could be announced, one of sports and another that could be the successor to Super Mario Odyssey
These would be the rumors that have emerged these days regarding two new Mario projects. Of course, if this is confirmed, Nintendo could be facing a very intense and exciting year. That if, as always with this type of information, it is better to take this news with great caution, since there is absolutely nothing confirmed, nor is it expected to be too soon. We will be attentive in case new news arises in this regard.
