Forget the magic recipes and focus on reality to lose weight. The goal: add small actions to achieve it.
First truth: Entry minus exit
To lose weight you need to lower the amount of calories you eat, increase the energy you spend through physical activity or both. “You need to reduce your daily intake by approximately 500 calories so you can lose 0.5 kilograms a week,” recommends Cindy Chin, a registered dietitian. A sedentary 100-kilogram weight, between the ages of 25 and 40, needs to drop to around 1,300 to 1,700 calories a day.
Second Truth: Lifestyle Choices
There is no magic potion for weight loss, nor are there magic foods or ways to combine foods to melt away excess body fat. To lose weight, and stay that way, you must make small and sustained changes in your lifestyle. For example, the next time you order a hamburger, ask them to make it without cheese. Another smart move will be to switch from regular beer to light beer, because if you drink 10 beers a week, you could lose up to three kilograms in a year, without making any other changes!
