Although the distinctive and attractive feature of Twitch is watching the content live, many times users miss some fragments of the broadcast or feel they need to repeat a part to better understand what was said or simply enjoy that moment again.
With this in mind, Twitch announces the start of testing for the rewind feature, with the integration of a new button, called Rewind, which when touched allows you to go back two minutes in the transmission, with options to go through the entire transmission history and play at different speeds, as with videos-on-demand (VOD).
The advantage here is that, if you press the “Rewind” button you will be able to continue watching what happens in the live broadcast, thanks to a picture-un-picture window that will appear, so you don’t miss a thing.
What is important to mention is that, For viewers to rewind, the streaming channel must have VOD enabled.
This test phase also includes the buttons “Remember me”, which notifies you about the next transmissions of a channel, and “See trailer”, to see the video of the channel’s presentation, if you have one.

According to Twitch, the testing of these new buttons will reach approximately a quarter of viewers in the next few days and will remain for the next month.
Once the test is finished, the buttons will be removed and the platform will evaluate whether to add them permanently or not; for this, Twitch has enabled One page, where users can give feedback on these new features.
