The Mexican media company, Tv Azteca, announced on Tuesday the inclusion of Pluto TV, Paramount’s free streaming serviceto its content portfolio in Mexico.
The agreement reached between the US company based in California and one of the two largest producers of television programming in Spanish in the world calls for “exclusive promotion and marketing.”
“This strategic alliance with TV Azteca will take Pluto TV’s income to the next level,” said Eduardo Lebrija, Pluto TV’s commercial director for Latin America.
The manager of the “streaming” company, which arrived in the Latin American region in 2020, added that within the free content company on the Internet “We are very happy to have closed this exclusive commercial agreement with one of the most important companies in the country..
Lebrija also predicted that the results of this alliance between Paramount’s digital platform and the Mexican media company, with four television networks in Mexico, “will be very successful.”
For his part, Benjamín Salinas Sada, vice president of the Board of Directors of Grupo Salinas, owner of the Mexican production company, emphasized that the team de Tv Azteca knows the Mexican market better than anyone.
He expressed his enthusiasm for adding Pluto TV to his content portfolio and assured that “if something characterizes us, it is having partners that have transcended internationally and have a vision like ours, with a commitment to innovation and the consumers”.
He added that TV Azteca is already building alliances with key players in different markets “and without a doubt, Paramount is one of them.”
Lebrija also commented that Pluto TV already generates unique and free offers through its programming, with different categories, genres and demographics, which he said “will allow, together with Tv Azteca, Pluto Tv to grow commercially in the region.” Since its arrival in Latin America more than three years ago, Pluto TV has experienced exponential growth in the Mexican market, in addition to maintaining constant expansion in the world with its presence in more than 30 countries and territories, as well as its alliances with almost 400 international media companies.
