The Google application registered an alleged Trojan virus threat, according to what throw the virtual store of Huawei. Different users of the Chinese cell phone brand reported the eventuality that has been appearing on their screens, from Sunday, October 29, until this Tuesday, the 31st.
Phone Arena reports that several users received the notification that indicates: “Security threat. Google seems to be affected. Immediate uninstallation is recommended.” However, a Huawei P30 user, one of those who received the message, scanned the Mountain View giant’s app and found no virus.
“I just received it too, Huawei P30 Lite. The thing is, I don’t even use Google, so I got really scared. I’ve never had a problem like this, but seeing how we all did it at the same time, it’s probably an update or something like that,” the user highlighted in a post he made on Reddit.
Huawei works with a virtual store different from the Google Play Store. However, the search giant’s package can be downloaded on this platform. So, it was precisely this platform that sent this message that alarmed users of the Chinese brand.

According to what the Huawei platform says, the Google app would be infected with TrojanSMS-PA, a Trojan that infects Android devices. It spreads through fraudulent SMS messages that pose as messages from legitimate organizations, such as banks or utility companies.
But the reality is that there is no such virus in the Google app. It is clearly a mistake by Huawei, on which the company has not commented.
