The last practice session of the 6 Hours of Bahrain has been written under the same script as FP2, although without accident against a rival on the part of the Toyota # 8. This means that the two Toyota GR010 Hybrid have commanded the time table with # 7 beating his boxing brother for the second consecutive session. Tracing the results of the first session of the day, Jota’s Oreca # 28 has finished at the head of the LMP2 category, while the # 92 Porsche has been the fastest GTE in Sakhir hand in hand with Neel Jani.
The WEC queen class has completed their last practice sessions in Sakhir with a well-known narrative. The two Toyota GR010 Hybrids have moved in 1: 48.9 and 1: 49.6, while Alpine’s LMP1 failed to pass 1: 50.1 despite André Negrao’s efforts on the best lap of the French prototype. In fact, The Alpine A480 is still closer to being ‘hunted’ by the best LMP2 prototypes than the leaders. A situation that reduces the fight for the title to the Toyota crews except for a dramatic turn of events throughout the 6-hour race.
As if it were a still photo, at least in relation to the FP3, the free third parties have also finished with the same LMP2 in front of the silver class. In fact, Jota’s Oreca # 28 has commanded the timesheets thanks to the best lap Tom Blomqvist, as already happened in the morning session. The British driver surpassed United Autosports Oreca # 22 by just over six tenths, the only prototype capable of discussing Jota’s dominance. In fact, Zak Brown’s team car managed to leave Oreca # 38 three tenths behind, car led by António Félix Da Costa.
