The exhaustive search continues for the tourist submarine that was lost on its way to reach the wreckage of the titanic with five crew. In the middle of all the investigation, a piece of news has left us with our ‘mouths open’: the Titan is operated with a video game controller from more than 20 years ago; a 2005 Logitech F710.
The device is a Logitech F710 wireless controller that was designed for playing video games on a PC. The model used to drive the sub has two retrofitted sticks instead of the original joysticks, possibly made to provide greater precision in manipulating the vehicle’s direction.
Y’all please watch this. It’s a CBS story that aired a while back about that submarine that is now missing. The creators of that missing submarine are DEEPLY unserious. pic.twitter.com/B6JriITyZj

Also, this controller is priced at $40 on Amazon.
Despite the fact that the control of the submarine is not modern, the ship has the latest technology such as “state-of-the-art sound and lighting navigation systems, as well as internally and externally mounted 4K video and photography equipment.”
Actually, that a video game controller is used for navigation is not something new. In fact, as confirmed by The Verge, the United States Navy uses game controllers for its submarines. Likewise, The Boring Company, company of Elon Musk has used Xbox controllers to drive his drills.
The billionaires aboard the submarine going down to the wreck of the Titanic:
One of the passengers was identified as the British businessman Hamish Harding, whose aviation company had posted on social media about their expedition to the area. Harding, a 58-year-old aviator, space tourist and president of Action Aviation, posted on his Instagram Sunday that he was proud to join OceanGate’s Titanic mission.
Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and her son Suleman Dawood are also on the boat. He is considered to be one of the richest men in his country.
Another millionaire who is trapped in the submersible is the OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, who is the company in charge of the expedition to the Titanic. Rush oversees OceanGate’s engineering and financial strategies and provides clear vision for the development of manned submersibles and their launch pads.
Little oxygen left:
Time is a critical factor, since the ship has a maximum of 96 hours of oxygen autonomy for the breathing of five people. The air could run out on Thursday afternoon.
