TikTok is the favorite social network of young people in the world for 2 years, That’s why each challenge, audio or update automatically becomes a topic of conversation on other social networks.
Recently many users denounced the elimination of the “draft” videos or “drafts” that are saved in the mobile application when the user decides NOT to publish.
The videos that are saved in Drafts help content creators edit their videos no matter what days they were shot, making it an essential tool within the application created by ByteDance.
Are you deleting TikTok videos?
At least officially it is not doing it. However, they are becoming more users, which are added to the wave of complaints against the platform for allegedly deleting these materials within the application.

Many of the cases are due to ignorance when using the platform. For example, if you log out of your mobile device, then it is very likely that these videos will be deleted what did you save. The same happens if you update TikTok or if you delete the storage data within the tool.
How can I protect my videos?
The only way to save videos that are in “drafts” of TikTok, is uploading it to another application. However, there is also the possibility that you publish them only for yourself within the social network.
The middle sportkeeda, explains the step by step:
- Step 1: Open the drafts folder and select the video you want to save to your camera roll. Click on ‘Next’ option after that.
- Step 2: The screen will show “Who can see this video” and the user will have to change the setting to “Only me”.
- Step 3: One can find more options and make sure that the “Save Video” option is activated.
- Step 4: The TikToker can choose the “Publish” option. If one checks their camera roll after following the steps, they should find the saved video.
