Canva, the visual communications platform, and TikTok have become marketing partners, a strategy that will be of great help to small and medium-sized businesses.
Once again, TikTok is once again the ideal platform to boost the creativity of content creators, as it was announced a few weeks ago when it partnered with the Vimeo platform to support small and medium-sized businesses.
The times of Covid-19, since the arrival of the pandemic in March last year, represented one of the biggest and most complicated challenges for small and medium-sized companies, not so for companies of great renown and reputation, which, although if their income was affected, their recovery is much more viable.
On the other hand, for TikTok, 2020 was a decisive year and, perhaps, the most important since its foundation, because thanks to the confinement derived from the pandemic, the platform registered one of the highest growth rates that social networks have had.
Its numbers increased to such a degree that today, it has even surpassed Facebook, the social media giant, and continues with an important projection into the future.
Precisely, this is due to the recent alliances that TikTok has created, which, in turn, are great strategies in order to continue registering an increase in their numbers and statistics. Hence, from that initiative, has emerged its association with Vimeo and now with Canva.
This partnership with Canva will allow TikTok creators to use the Publish End Points tool, as well as its more than 50 ad templates, in order to develop interesting content for the users of the application.
The initiative is aimed, above all, at small and medium-sized companies, which in this period of pandemic have had severe complications in developing their strategies. That is why this alliance with TikTok represents a great commercial outlet for them.
According to information posted on AdWeek, Melissa Yang, director of ecosystem partnerships at TikTok, spoke about this great opportunity for businesses:
“Small businesses are the heart and soul of our communities, and we are always thinking of new ways to help them create, connect, and prosper on TikTok. Our partnerships with Vimeo and Canva not only save time and streamline creative processes, but also produce tangible results for small business owners looking to reach new audiences after such a challenging year. ”
For her part, Kate Marsden, Canva’s director of marketing for partnerships, highlighted this alliance with TikTok, the fashion social network:
“We are incredibly excited to integrate with TikTok and level the playing field for content creators and small business owners to develop truly authentic, engaging and visually appealing content with Canva’s simple platform and ever-growing template library. “
The times of now, for companies, require strategies not to decrease. The pandemic has led to the closure of a large number of small and medium-sized companies, and those that have survived are grabbing where they can to continue working.
For Canva, as happened with Vimeo, partnering with TikTok represents a great opportunity, taking into account the encouraging numbers of the platform of Chinese origin, which in the last year have gone through the roof,
TikTok registers more than 800 million active users, having a greater presence among the population between 16 and 24 years of age, the so-called Generation Z, which, for brands, is their main target audience.
For this reason, it could be a foolproof Canva strategy to drive further growth. The choice of TikTok is not free, as it is the fashionable platform among the younger population and its projections are even more encouraging.
