On December 9, the first of two Bad Bunny concerts was held at the Azteca Stadium, in which thousands of people with a paid ticket could not access the property because, supposedly, tickets had been cloned or were printed several times.
According to Ticketmaster, its ticket scanning equipment malfunctioned, causing delays and attendee backlogs, resulting in several valid tickets not being read correctly.
According to the company, up to 3,000 people with a paid ticket were left without seeing the Puerto Rican artistwhich charges up to 5 million pesos for each concert.
Due to the chaos and multitudes of complaints caused by this mishap, Profeco carried out an operation at the second concert on December 10, in which access was more fluid and only 110 people complained of not being able to enter.
Total, Ticketmaster has reimbursed 18 million 154 thousand 367 pesosincluding compensation required by the Federal Consumer Protection Law.
Profeco said that there are still 55 people with a complaint in the process of receiving reimbursement and compensation, and that its microsite can still receive complaints.
He added that Ticketmaster has not been fined because it has reimbursed affected consumers in accordance with the law.
