Organizing plans with friends and family can be a hassle. We are not going to make your life easier to decide what to do, but we did want to mention in this article some websites that will come in handy to organize ourselves throughout the economic part of the process.
Especially when we are a large group, there are times when we can leave some expense to the air. It is normal, because in multi-day plans, meals, events and others that require being aware of who we must pay accumulate. Tools such as Bizum have already facilitated this process, but When it comes to dividing expenses for something in particular, it is better to go to one of the applications that we mention below.
Splitwise
Splitwise is perhaps one of the best known in its field. It allows us to easily create events and add members to record expenses. The registration part is very important if we want to divide the expenses well, because there we will have to specify who has paid and who is involved in that specific expense.
The web application is mainly focused on adding expenses or paying off the debts that we have pending with someone. To invite friends to a specific expense we can do it through e-mail.
Splitwise also has an app for mobile devices much more intuitive and successful than its web version. Here we can also invite friends through our own contact list.
Tricount
With the same purpose as the aforementioned, in Tricount we can also record any expense with our friends or family. To do this, we simply have to access the “Add Expense” tab and invite people.
The application also has a version for mobile devices. Perhaps the main advantage over Splitwise is the possibility of exporting expenses in a PDF file, for a more thorough analysis.
Settle up
In Settle Up we will have practically the same possibilities as in the previous two that we have mentioned. However, in addition to offering a web app and mobile version, we also have a desktop application for Windows.
Another advantage is its interface. And is that Settle Up’s design and menus are much more visual and attractive than its competitors. Its method of exporting expenses is identical to Splitwise, that is, using a csv file.
Which is better?
Comparing these three great apps, Splitwise is the one that, in general terms, has more features and functions than the rest. In addition, if we upgrade to their Pro plan, we will be able to opt for features such as currency conversion, receipt scanning, tables and graphs, and much more.
As for Tricount, perhaps it would be more suitable for a more professional environment. In addition, the advantage of exporting the data in a PDF with everything broken down is very convenient.
Settle Up is more pleasing to the eye in its web version, although if we compare them based on their respective mobile applications, they are all very similar.
Hopefully these tools will help you. In my personal experience, they have saved me quite a bit of trouble and headaches.
