On THQ Nordic, they seem keen to save the most iconic IPs of the past and treat them as VIP clients: celebrating their 10th anniversary, they have announced – among other games – the return of one of the games that laid the groundwork for the genre of action and open world current. Is about Outcast 2: A New Beginning, and if your name doesn’t ring a bell, it should.
Back in 1999, the Appeal team signed a super interesting title that led us to explore the planet Adelpha, where our protagonist, the ex-marine Cutter Slade, was seen with the Talan population during a special mission to close a black hole that threatened our world.
So far, so good; but those responsible failed when it came to finance a remake via Kickstarter in 2014. They managed to do it anyway three years later with an Outcast: Second Contact that sadly felt very dated. Aware that times have changed and with an editor like THQ Nordic backing them, Appeal returns to the fray with better look (and design) never.
You can check out Outcast 2: A New Beginning through the trailer that accompanies the news, although as you can see there is no release date yet. All we know is that it will arrive on PC and next-generation consoles, and that our comrade Adrián Suárez has already been able to see it and share his impressions in 3DJuegos.
