Scooby-Doo was one of the animated series that many grew up with beyond the ages.
It is not relevant if they watched the original chapters, the various reboot or movies, whether animated or in live action.
The truth is that Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, Vilma and Scooby have always been there.
However, there are many details that remain in the air and that most know, but few recognize.
One of them is the “mystery” that surrounds Vilma Dinkley, the most intelligent of the team, the young woman who with her brain is the one who solves the mysteries in the productions that went through Cartoon Network, Warner Bros and Hanna-Barbera.
Vilma is gay in the new Scooby-Doo and the producer no longer hides it
Now, after decades, the rumors about Vilma’s sexuality are being confirmed: Vilma from “Scooby-Doo” is a lesbian.
The “mystery” (if it can be called that) began to be revealed on October 3, when you could see the trailer “Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!”, the new animated film of the franchise where Vilma falls in love with a skilled criminal named Coconut Devil.

Mystery Incorporated” (broadcast between 2010 and 2013), Tony Cervone, published a photo on Instagram in which Vilma appeared with the colors of the rainbow and a text: “We made our intention as clear as they made us 10 years ago. The vast majority of fans saw it. For those who don’t, I suggest you take a closer look.”
James Gunn, director of the first two films live action from Scooby-Doo, also sought to make Velma’s sexuality clear in his scripts.
When Linda Cardellini played Vilma, Gunn says she tried as much as possible to make the character’s homosexuality part of the content, she says. Variety.
“Back in 2001, Vilma was explicitly gay in my initial script,” Gunn said on Twitter. “But the studio watered it down, first the subject became ambiguous and finally in the sequel even she had a boyfriend.”
