More and more details are emerging about a possible Resident Evil Outbreak Remake, which is not going unnoticed by fans. On the one hand, Capcom has been updating the official Resident Evil portal with the main games in the series, including Resident Evil Outbreak. But that has not been all, but it has been done with new images and official art, which could suggest that the company is already working on a remake of the title. In addition, Outbreak would fit perfectly into that multiplayer and cooperative project that Capcom wants to target with Resident Evil and that, until now, has not managed to gel among the players.
This Resident Evil Outbreak easter egg in Resident Evil 3 sparks remake rumors:
This is the complete map of Raccoon City in Resident Evil 2, 3 and Outbreak
In addition to all of the above, the truth is that Capcom is very given to leaving clues of its next games in the titles it launches. For example, in Resident Evil 2 we encountered situations that didn’t make sense until we played Resident Evil 3 (from the open safe to the Nemesis scream in the demo). Just as, in one of the Resident Evil Village trailers, the Los Iluminados logo belonging to Resident Evil 4. This fact, together with the fact that the Nemesis canon has changed, now being an evolution of Las Plagas and not strictly Virus T, inevitably points to Resident Evil 4 Remake.
So it is inevitable that this Resident Evil Outbreak easter egg in Resident Evil 3 (2020), discovered by youtuber PasKuEviL, point to a possible remake of the game, especially for the amount of detail it leaves. In it we can hear the voice of kevin ryman (Police #153), the game’s protagonist and member of the Raccoon City Police Corps, signaling over a patrol car radio that he is meeting three civilians in the cafeteria; very possibly referring to Jack’s Bar, the location in which he begins Resident Evil Outbreak.
What do you think of this easter egg? Do you think the Resident Evil Outbreak remake is in the works?
