Often the screen of our gaming laptop is too small for us to play. Something that is increased in the 14-inch models, which due to its characteristics cuts diagonally and can make long gaming sessions uncomfortable. And for this we have at our disposal external screens that, unlike “traditional” monitors, they are smaller and are designed to carry from one place to another.
These screens are not as common as gaming monitors are, and therefore we have less to choose from. But that does not mean that we find offers as interesting as that of this Asus model that has dropped to 448.99 euros in PcComponentes. A saving of 100 euros that makes it a good option for those who need the advantages that these peripherals offer.
We are talking about the Asus ROG Strix XG17AHPE, an excellent complement for gaming laptops with which to gain an extra inch when we play with them. Or also an inexpensive and versatile way to expand screen real estate on our desktop PC.
ASUS XG17AHP ROG Strix XG17AHP USB Type-C Portable Gaming Monitor: 17.3-Inch, IPS, FHD (Full HD, 1920×1080), 240Hz, Adaptive-Sync, Anti-Glare, Micro-HDMI, Camera, ROG Tripod, ROG Bag
It is a 17.3-inch external and portable screen (the same diagonal as the largest notebooks on the market) with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080p). So that does not imply a greater burden on the power of our equipment, since in most cases it will have the same number of pixels.
It has an aspect ratio of 16: 9, it is flat and matte and it opts for IPS technology. And as a good gaming screen, incorporates a high refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of just 3 milliseconds. In addition, it can be used without having to be connected to the electrical current thanks to its 7,800 mAh battery, which promises a use of 3 and a half hours.
Finally, this display can be connected via USB Type-C and micro HDMI, so we can use it with practically any device on the market: from smartphones to consoles, including desktop and laptop computers of course.
