La Monarca Bakery won among hundreds of proposals that were sent to the NFL
The call by the league was to make known all the Latin flavors that exist in Los Angeles as a reason for the Super Bowl. That is why the local La Monarca Bakery was the winner among hundreds of proposals that were sent to the NFL to promote Latino locals in that area of the US state.
The bakery that is owned by Mexican immigrants impressed the NFL with its wide range of bread and the creativity that they print on each piece, such as the one presented in the ramsconcha contest. It is a shell with the colors of the Los Angeles Rams team that will face each other in the Super Bowl final this Sunday, February 13, against the Cincinnati Bengals.
“I never imagined seeing a shell in the Super Bowl, but also supporting our team. It is a taste of Mexico and we give a taste to all those who are not related to this flavor. We participated among hundreds of proposals, but we represent the Latin culture, that speaks very well of the NFL, they focus on promoting local businesses and the culture that exists in Mexico”, explained Ricardo Cervantes, owner of La Monarca Bakery.
The “ramsconcha” is the first Latin bread endorsed by the NFL
As a Mexican pride, the ramsconcha was crowned as the first home-sourced Latin loaf of bread to be endorsed by the NFL.
That is why the place that currently has 12 stores that promote bread made with Latin quality, will participate in the NFL Fan Experience, where they will sell this curious piece of bread made with a Mexican flavor.
“We have a place in the NFL Fan Experience, since the Rams are in the Super Bowl, we created the Ramsconchas, which are allusive to our team. We always make shells depending on each event and this one is special, the first one made for a team”, added Cervantes.
