When we had already forgotten everything related to summer and vacations, the autumn holidays arrive with their respective bridges. And we put the focus on the possible getaways that we can organize. Trips of three or four days that are great to breathe and get a boost for the routine in which we are already immersed. And for those who suitcases (even if they are cabin) stay large. Because although they can give a lot of themselves, for a couple of nights it is not necessary to carry a trolley, soft bags are ideal.
Longchamp, in addition to having in its catalog the favorite bag of any self-respecting travel expert, the Le Pliage model famous for its ability to fold and take up very little space, hides another treasure: the expandable Le Pliage model. Another model of the firm that has plenty of versatility and is on our smart shopping list.
Inspired by Japanese origami, this not-so-popular, large-size model continues the iconic Le Pliage design with a snap-button flap, but adds a plus: the possibility of folding and using it in mini version.
Thus, can act as a travel bag and become a purse upon arrival, minimizing what to take with us.
The small size model is ideal for sightseeing and, at the same time, easy to combine with the clothes we wear. In addition, the fact that it comes with handles and a strap makes it easy to wear it as a crossbody bag or as a bag. It is also waterproof and has an inside pocket for important documents.
It is available in six colors: beige, black, navy, camel, pink, rose, red and purple.
Its price? 160 euros.

Longchamp towards the use of responsible materials
The French firm has recently underlined its intention to bet on sustainable alternatives. In 2019 and 2020 Longchamp introduced sustainable materials, such as recycled polyester fabric and Econyl certified recycled polyamide (nylon) fabric, for its My Pliage Signature and Green District lines respectively. This summer he introduced Le Pliage Green, the first Le Pliage made entirely from recycled nylon (including the zipper).
This is not the firm’s first approach to sustainability. Longchamp has offered a repair service for your bags from the beginning. And as its CEO Jean Cassegrain explained, they repair 60,000 bags a year, most of them at no cost or charging a fee lower than what it really cost to incentivize it. They have a repair center in their factory and promote these types of solutions.
