Leon has it really raw in this fan-made trailer.
Today the next great installment of Resident Evil remains a mysterysince, although we have been able to see that in the coming months we will have the long-awaited DLC for Resident Evil Village, as well as the long-awaited remake of Resident Evil 4, the truth is that we do not know anything about the ninth numbered installmentthis being a title about which nothing is known, but it is suspected that it is currently in development, since the franchise has accustomed us to annual release practically.
For all these reasons, although it seems that Resident Evil IX content could have been leaked, which in theory should close this trilogy focused on the first person, everything indicates that we will have to wait for at least 2024 to see it in stores around the world. However, until that time comes, we have the fans.
A trailer that would bring back all the old enemies of the saga
Once again it has been the Youtube channel called Teaser Play that has been in charge of bringing a trailer developed with Unreal Engine 5 in which we can see a concept of what Resident Evil IX could be, this being a project that has too many fanservice elementssince it would mean the return of old enemies seen in previous installments of the saga (something illogical if we take into account that they are all dead).
In this way, the trailer introduces us to Leon S. Kennedy in a cemetery with elements similar to those of Resident Evil Village, this coming accompanied by a look at Nemesis, Jack Baker, Albert Wesker, Mr. T and Lord Osmund Saddler, the main enemies of the third, seventh, fifth, second and fourth installments respectively. You can take a look at the trailer below:
For the rest, it should be noted that although Unreal Engine 5 looks spectacular, it is very unlikely that Capcom will use this engine, since the RE Engine of its own manufacture has proven to be one of the best engines in the video game industry. For the rest, we will have to wait to see when we see Resident Evil IX in stores, being a title that should be released on Xbox Series, PS5 and PC.
