Nicolas Cage never ceases to amaze his followers and to prove it is his recent transformation as Count Dracula. Yes, you read that right, the actor has become the vampire character for a new film called Renfieldwhich will break some stereotypes of nocturnal creatures and, incidentally, provoke the occasional laugh.
At the moment there are few details about the film. However, the release date and the first images of Cage on the film set have already been revealed. As expected, his new look provokes reactions in social networks.
The first images of Cage as Count Dracula show him wearing a huge gold medallion, extravagant rings and red velvet suit, something that has reminded Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, a character who wore a tailored suit in shades of wine.
However, unlike the joker, this film will not show a character with mental problems, but one who enjoys blood, nights and makes anyone laugh, but without forgetting his violent nature. It is worth mentioning that Cage had already played a vampire in the past, in the movie vampire kisses 1989, a project that launched his career in Hollywood.
As for the film, Renfield is a Universal Pictures production, directed by Chris McKay, with an adapted screenplay by Ryan Ridley and starring the gorgeous actor Nicholas Hoult, whom you surely know from his roles as Beast in the X Men or nux in Mad Max: Fury Road.
