The version that a tiktoker presented regarding the eradication of mosquitoes in the Disney park on the outskirts of Orlando, Florida, has generated great expectation regarding this fact.
User identified as Michael McBride (Idea.Soup) notes at the beginning of his post: There are no mosquitoes at Disney World even though it is in the middle of the Florida swamps. Disney does not want anything to harm the experience of its guests.
McBride notes that this park has one of the best mosquito monitoring programs in the world, so it sprays an area of 101 square kilometers with insecticide, something like the entire city of Tampico, this being done twice a day. The park has sentinel hens themselves that are studied to detect any disease potentially transmitted by insects.
The Walt Disney World park is located in a swampy region of Florida, in which the existence of these insects is natural, so this form of containment is interesting for the park and its reputation.
On the official website of the Orlando park It is mentioned that there is a mosquito containment plan, in addition to offering repellants at various points in the amusement park.
Other versions support this theory, since they ensure that no structure in the park is designed to accumulate water and create environments in which these insects can leave their larvae.
We cannot know the implications of these actions in the rest of the natural environment, however, some of these good practices could prevent the spread of diseases that these insects carry and transmit to humanity with even deadly effects.
