A new version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is in the oven. All leaks point to a new version with 5G coming sooner rather than later. The news would not stop at 5G connectivity, as this support is preceded by more interesting components. The current Redmi Note 9 features a MediaTek G85 processor, a mid-range chip that offers decent performance for the average user. The new version would make a significant leap in terms of performance. Maybe the 5G does not matter to you, but not the new processor that would mount the terminal.
The Redmi Note 9 5G would arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G
Not all processors on the market can choose to offer 5G connectivity. Qualcomm has several processors on the market and the most interesting for the mid-range is the Snapdragon 765G. This is the chip that would mount the new 5G version of the Redmi Note 9. In case you are wondering, yes, this Qualcomm processor is more powerful than the current MediaTek G85.
But the thing would not remain in an update of the processor. An increase in the screen refresh rate is also rumored, which could be 90 or 120 Hz. At the moment the mid-range of Xiaomi and Redmi have remained at 60 Hz, but it is a matter of time that this change.
At the moment nothing is known about the presentation date, the markets where it will be available or details of its design. It is a device that many users will wait with open arms, although its price will not be the same as the current Redmi Note 9. It may be around 100 euros/dollars more expensive. Will that extra be worth paying for a top-notch processor like the Snapdragon 765G?
