The Halo Infinite ad campaign isn’t stopping, and now a new Halo crossover is coming to some pretty unusual games. Now the Master Chief and company will be in Mahjong or Solitaire. Halo themes are now available for Microsoft versions of both games and they are totally free. It may seem strange at first glance that Microsoft is targeting its casual games in this way, but Solitaire and Mahjong are hugely popular.
With this new Halo crossover, in the case of Solitaire, the cards have been renewed, and now all show Halo characters instead of the normal jack, queen and king. Mahjong gems have been changed to resemble Halo multiplayer medals.
We already have a date for the second technical test of Halo Infinite
New and unusual Halo crossover
The game of Solitaire, in particular, is really massive: during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Microsoft Solitaire last year, the company announced that more than 35 million people continue to play monthly. Many of those people probably don’t play many other Microsoft games yet, despite being already connected to the Xbox ecosystem. So it is a large group of people to market Microsoft exclusives.
These are the multiplayer modes that Forza Horizon 5 will offer at launch
Halo Infinite is scheduled for release on December 8 on PC, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox One, and there are other promotions before its launch. For example, you can get double the XP for its free multiplayer mode by eating Pringles and Pop-Tarts, and it looks like there are Halo-themed Monster energy drinks on the way. Hopefully other Halo crossovers make it to more games.
