Ikea and the World Surf League have joined forces to present a collection where design and practicality go hand in hand with products for the home and everyday life. Emphasizing its collection of accessories in terry cloth and with striking prints, Ikea’s mythical blue bag dresses up tie dye in pastel colors, which has caused a stir in RRSS (and that everything indicates that it could be exhausted in the blink of an eye).
This collection is born from the intention of learning more about the needs and demands of surfers – their organization, their mobility needs and moisture management. In this way, Kåseberga is made up of more than 25 items designed to be enjoyed both inside and outside the home. Its proposals include a handboard for bodysurfing, a beach chair, a portable barbecue, a coffee table and a bag specifically designed to help clean beaches –super like-.
According to Wiebke Braasch, a designer at Ikea,
These needs are relevant to many people, whether they surf or not, and have inspired us to create articles that enrich the lives of all those who have the same demands. With this collection, we hope to bring the joy of the surf lifestyle into the home and everyday life of most.
Based on functionality and the use of recycled materials with the aim of promoting a more circular lifestyle, much of this collection has been made with recycled polyester, while other items have been created with renewable materials such as bamboo or cork.

Although the entire collection is very cool, there are items that stand out above the rest, and this time they are the ones that are dressed in a full-color tropical print and come in the form of a backpack, bag, poncho/towel or bucket hat.
The collection will launch globally during the month of May.
