The Windows Insider dev channel has become more dynamic than ever. We have tons of new features and we hardly have time to cover all the new features. However, of those features that Zac Bowden leaked, we have not yet seen the stickers on the desktop. But, the infinity of filters that exist in Windows 11 has meant that one of them, Albacore, finds said function and has shown us its operation in Twitter.
This is how stickers work on the desktop in Windows 11
As you can see in the tweet below, the stickers feature adds an option to “choose stickers for your wallpaper” on the Windows 11 background settings page. Clicking it brings up a small user interface at the top of the screenwith a drop-down menu of stickers similar to the emoji picker in Windows 11. From there, you can search or choose from a list of stickers, themed cats and other animals or objects. Once we choose one, it is possible to drag the sticker, change its size and place it anywhere on the desktop. When changing the wallpaper, the sticker will stay in place.

Using the new sticker editor you can pick, place, and resize stickers as you like. It can be accessed through Settings or by right-clicking your desktop.

There’s no word yet on when Windows Insiders might get this feature for testing, but reaction to it has been mixed. Some people consider this feature to be “absolutely useless.” It should be noted that Windows is used by very different profiles and what may be useless for some may mean a different style for others. However, according to Albacore, this feature will be disabled by default, so there should be no panic. As we have already indicated, it may not be useful or interesting to us, but there will be people who may find it funny, curious or useful.
