This is how they have transformed the Lightning port of the iPhone!
What seemed like the logical step for the iPhone has not materialized, at least from Apple. It is about the incorporation of the USB-C cable in the mobile of those of the bitten apple. However, a follower of the firm wanted to be at ease and created his own iPhone with USB-C.
As shared in a YouTube video, robotics engineering student Ken Pillonel introduced “The World’s First USB-C iPhone.” There, it shows an iPhone X with a USB-C port loading, such as transferring data, and finally how you managed to change ports.
There is already an iPhone with USB-C
Fortunately and for the most curious and even interested in replicating something similar, Pillonel has shown a summary of the process creation and part of the result, but has advanced that prepare a second installment to show the complete process:
“That’s it. I’ve finally built the world’s first iPhone with a USB Type-C port. It supports charging and data transfer. The first part was trying to get the electronics to work. Then the next step was reverse engineering. to the Apple C94 connector and make my own PCB with a female USB C port. Then the project schematics were established and tested, and the end was to make it fit inside the iPhone! “
Recently, The European Commission revealed its plans to try to pressure Apple to switch its Lightning port to USB-C. However, most likely Apple will create an iPhone without a port rather than switch to USB-C.
