Apparently the companies that have their website, and they are almost all of them, think that it is the ideal place to tell people about their magnificent company, the us, us and us, how committed their team is, about their wonderful products, services and about its history, the famous “Who we are”. If this is how your page is written, where the Business Ego is at its best, I have news for you: nobody cares. None of this is or will be relevant to whoever visits your page. What percentage of your sales is through your page?
To get sales with your website and that your potential customers are interested in what you have to tell them, first of all you must answer the big question that every visitor asks when entering your site: What does this company have for me? Your response should be the first and only thing the person reads. It should be written briefly and extremely clearly. This way he will immediately understand how you can solve his problem, satisfy his need or offer him satisfaction. If he does not receive this information from the outset, he will leave and will not return.
The answer you give will be the title of your page, so it must be written in a way that your potential client says: “Wow, I found it, this is what I was looking for”.
To do this, the copywriter you hire must write a headline that:
- a) Catch attention b) Generate curiosity to know more. “In just 3 months you will learn English and be able to hold a business conversation.”
It is highly recommended that your entire page be written in yourfor a single person: your ideal client. Talk about your products and services based on the interests of your visit, how they have helped other people, the testimonials of satisfied customers are very useful and give credibility.
Imagine that when you arrive with the doctor and tell him what hurts you, he recites his CV for twenty minutes and tells you his story. How would you feel? If instead of entry he tells you: Don’t worry, I have the right treatment that you need, in a few days you will feel like new. How would you feel? Well, the same with your website, exactly the same.
In order to give an answer to what does this company have for me? and that is very attractive and spot on, so to speak, you must know your ideal client very well, know what they like, what they are looking for, what they want, their fears and concerns, to name a few topics. Only in this way will you be able to be assertive, sell.
Check your website, changing the words is the cheapest way to increase your company’s sales.
Thank you for reading. Until next Wednesday.
