In a couple of days Gran Turismo 7 will go on sale in stores, the new installment of the series that we have defined in our analysis as an absolute benchmark for motorsports on PlayStation and an essential title that will be added to the catalog of PS4 and PS5although, how does it look on each platform?
That same question is the one that the ElAnalistaDeBits channel wanted to answer with one of its complete comparative videos. For this he has located face to face versions of PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 in all kinds of situations to demonstrate its performance, graphics and other details on different systems.
To begin with, the resolution of PS4 stays at 1080p, on PS4 Pro it increases to 1800 and on PS5 it reaches 2160p. All of them are capable of moving the image at 60 fpsalthough during races Sony’s next-gen console is the only one that manages to come closer to this amount most of the time.
The resolution also affects the elements that appear on the stage, being able to appreciate more vegetation on PS5, as will happen with the amount of public that will be in the stands witnessing the competitions. Along with this, it also improves other graphic aspects, such as the viewing distance, shadows, and textures as they are more defined.
This same version also allows you to choose between two graphics modes: performance and ray-tracing. In the latter, it is clearly noticeable that the vehicles look better and much more realistic both inside and out. The same applies to Photo mode, seeing some fantastic cars for those who opt for ray-tracing.
Regarding loading times, on PS5 you just have to wait a couple of seconds for the race to start compared to almost 40 seconds in the two PS4 models. So, with these cards on the table, you already have a little more clarity about which version to choose when Grand Touring 7 goes on sale on March 4.
