Alphabet soup and bugs is what a consumer found in the Chedraui store, a fact that he reported on Twitter.
The lack of sanitation is one of the most recurrent complaints among consumers, a serious situation if one considers that it can be harmful to health.
The Chedraui Community Manager has already made a first approach with the client to provide a solution.
It was through Twitter that a Chedraui consumer alerted the brand and, incidentally, its followers, because of its alphabet soup, which also contains several bugs inside the bag.
This is not the first time something similar has happened, nor is Chedraui the only brand that generates this type of claim or complaint, because, unfortunately for consumers, shopping experiences are not always the best.
Today, the consumer has a wide range of store options to meet their needs, including Bodega Aurrerá, Soriana, Walmart, Chedraui, among others, each offering its own customer experience.
Chedraui, in this context, is one of those that has shown significant growth in recent years. Until 2019, according to data published by Statista, the Mexican company dedicated to the retail industry recorded revenues of approximately 129 thousand 400 million pesosa figure that represents an increase of around 11.6 percent compared to what was reported in 2018.
On the other hand, also in that year, Grupo Chedraui already had 431 self-service stores, that is, an increase of around 2.1 percent compared to 2018.
These data speak of how, over the years, Chedraui has been winning over consumers in a market where competition is much more marked.
Chedraui consumer buys alphabet soup… and bugs, and thus exhibits it on Twitter
However, we are also talking about one of the establishments that generates the most discussion on social networks, that space where consumers communicate with brands to report cases of errors in their products, abuses of all kinds.
From this context, on Twitter, Chedraui’s health control has been questioned again due to a case in which the consumer reports having found a bag of alphabet soup that also contains bugs inside.

As we already mentioned, the client’s complaint derives from a lack of sanitation, one of the most recurrent among consumers and, of course, Twitter users who, for years, have used digital platforms to expose and display their complaints, claims, complaints, etc.
For this reason, when cases like this occur, it is necessary to remember what the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris).
“Health complaints are intended to inform this authority of the facts, acts or omissions in health matters, which, according to the perspective of the complainant, represents a risk or causes damage to the health of the population”, it is read on the portal of Cofepris.
Similarly, last month Walmart was exposed by a similar casewhere a consumer, through a video of just 14 seconds, exhibited the product that he bought in the store, which had flies inside it, even though, as can be seen in the video, the product is well closed.

In the end, this only reflects the opinion of the consumer and the conversation that it generates in the digital pulse, so Merca 2.0 requested the position of the brand in order to tell both sides of the story; however, so far it has not been received. The note will be updated in case of a response.
