Certainly, it has surpassed the original…
The sound hashira had a huge impact on Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) during the Red Light District Arc of the second season. While Tengen Uzui was instrumental in helping Tanjiro and his friends defeat Gyutaro and Daki’s demon brothers, he did not come out of the battle unscathed. Now that he’s missing an eye and an arm, a cosplayer has taken us back to “happier” times to the powerful member of the demon slayers, bringing Tengen to life through cosplay with a feminine twist that will impress you..
The cosplayer shares the following message in which she honors all the people who helped her with her work: That’s right, I did it! I finally did another Demon Slayer cosplay! After doing Shinobu, I pretty much decided that she wouldn’t do another Demon Slayer cosplay… But after seeing Tengen, I slowly changed my mind and we’re finally here lol. So I hope you all enjoy it!
For those who would like to have this same outfit, she clarifies how her work is made: The cosplay outfit was made by @cosplaysky, the headband and bracelets by Jahara herself, and the hashira’s powerful katanas were made by @minikatanastore. Instagram cosplayer Jahara Jayde created an amazing rendition of the mighty swordsman which was instrumental in defeating the two demons that terrorized the entertainment district and regularly devoured innocent victims to increase their respective powers:
The power of Tengen Uzui from Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) in his female cosplay
In addition to being one of the most powerful Hashira that Tanjiro and his young swordsmen have encountered to date, Tengen Uzui also had three wives who were able to lend a hand during the fight against Gyutaro and Daki’s demon brothers. After his bloody fight with the older brother of the couple, the hashira of sound lost both his eye and his arm during the Red Light District Arc, and Tengen realized that his days as a member of the demon slayers might come to an end. While his teammates Hashira don’t want him to retire any time soon, that decision might be out of his hands.
The third season of Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) is scheduled to arrive next year and will adapt the story of the Swordsmith Village Arc., which will focus on the new Hashira outside of Sound and Flame. While Tengen most likely won’t be seen picking up swords from him again anytime soon, it definitely wouldn’t be a surprise to see Sound Hashira return to the franchise before the anime adaptation comes to an end. Expect a lot more action and Hashira when Ufotable brings back the anime adaptation in 2023.
