If you want to offer a good adaptation of video games you have to take the source material seriously. And, seen what has been seen, the Fallout television series produced by Amazon has done its homework: a new batch of images has appeared on the network of networks offering a look at the interior shooting sets, and the similarities with the saga of Bethesda are obvious.
Via Shamanomenon’s Twitter account It has been shown how the shelter of the television series will look like, as well as a couple of clues about the project. The first thing that stands out, of course, is the level of detail in these sets and the fidelity to what is seen on consoles and PCs. However, if we look closely, it is possible to find some clues about what we can expect in the series.
From the start, and as can be seen in one of the tanks, we know that It is shelter number 32. According to video game history, hundreds of thousands were planned to be created before an apocalyptic debacle that swept the world, but only 122 shelters were ever developed.

The utility of these shelters was to protect their inhabitants from the dangers of the surface after a nuclear war. Something that can be seen on one of the posters on the wall in which, by the way, Vault Boy himself is first shown. And yes, its appearance is the same as in video games.
Very special mention to the two areas shown in the images:
- An area dedicated to babies and children with rest areas for the little ones and what looks like a study room with desks, preserving the retro-futuristic atompunk aesthetic.
- In addition, and right next to the sealed corridors to protect against radiation, it is possible to see areas that simulate more open country environments, including what appears to be a kind of barn.

The project is on the right track and is in good hands: Amazon has trusted the creators of Westworld (Lisa Joy Y Jonathan Nolan Christopher Nolan’s brother) and even the very Todd Howard and JAmes Altman Bethesda oversee the series and are involved in it on a creative level.
From here the rigorous question: When will the Amazon series Fallout be released? Considering that filming began in mid-2022, there is still a long way to go. And if we add to this the effects and post-production, it is not unreasonable that we have to wait until 2023.
Of course, if we have learned anything from Fallout 76, it is that you should not leave the shelter in a hurry after an apocalypse: take as long as it takes.
